Women’s Basketball ends season with Senior Day game against Bethel

After a tough season, the Crimson Wave pushed through and finished the season celebrating the sole senior, Markeysha Coleman. Coleman transferred to CCSJ from Ancilla College and has been a constant for the Wave in her two seasons.

The Crimson Wave hosted Bethel University from the Crossroads League for their final game of the season. At the end of the 1st Quarter, the Wave were down 22-15, but the Pilots took off in the 2nd Quarter outsourcing CCSJ 26-11 for a 48-26 lead at halftime. Coming back from the break, the Crimson Wave regained some ground, outsourcing the Pilots 17-15 in the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Quarter, Bethel scored 20 points to CCSJ's 15, securing the Pilots 83-58 win over the Wave.

Jasmin Barker led the Crimson Wave scoring 19 points with 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. Coleman was close behind, scoring 15 points with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Destiny Hughes scored 12 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
