89 percent of applicants to Valparaiso University were admitted for fall 2018

At Valparaiso University, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Valparaiso enrolled 3,786 students in fall 2018, including 3,199 in undergraduate and 587 in graduate programs, data shows. 6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

48 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 51 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (72 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (9 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 7,062 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
