Jasper County ranked 34th in Indiana for resident earnings in 2018

Jasper County ranked 34th among counties in Indiana by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Jasper County residents was $28,657 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 12,539 households with a population of 33,449.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Hamilton County with $45,180 per year after adjusting for inflation – $16,523 more than Jasper County. It had 116,982 households with a population of 316,095.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Monroe County with $21,750 per year after adjusting for inflation – $6,907 less than Jasper County. It had 55,537 households with a population of 145,403.
