78% of Porter County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 172,353 citizens living in Porter County in 2021, 78% were old enough to vote, equating to 134,349 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 66,018 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 68,331 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Porter County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
