Rep. Frank J. Mrvan has been in office since 2021, succeeding Pete Visclosky, and previously served on the North Township Board of Trustees from 2005 to 2021.
On January 20, 2025, Rep. Mrvan remarked on the recent political transition: "Today, we witnessed the peaceful transfer of power in our democracy, and as we move forward, I continue to remain willing to work with the Administration and all interested parties at all levels of government for the benefit of the constituents of Indiana’s First District."
In another tweet posted on January 20, 2025, he emphasized fiscal responsibilities: "We must also not delay in commencing the necessary oversight & direction required to draft FY 2026 appropriations legislation that will fund federal programs and agencies that keep our communities and our nation safe, and create more opportunities for work & wealth for everyone."
Further elaborating on his role within Congress, Rep. Mrvan stated on January 20, 2025: "Further, as a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I look forward to getting to work and quickly completing the long-overdue legislation to fund the government for Fiscal Year 2025."
