U.S. Congressman Frank J. Mrvan, who represents Indiana’s 1st district, recently used his social media platform to express gratitude for the work of local organizations and discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen communities in Northwest Indiana.

On July 29, 2025, Mrvan posted a message thanking regional health service providers: "I thank all of the representatives from our region’s Community Mental Health Centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers for the invaluable services that they provide and for participating in this timely roundtable discussion. I look forward to continuing to partner with you".

The following day, July 30, he acknowledged collaborative efforts with colleagues and local leaders by stating: "Thank you to @RepNikkiB, all of our colleagues in the @NewDemCoalition, & all of the participants today for this discussion on how we can continue to collaborate together to create more work and wealth in Northwest Indiana and communities across our country."

In another post on July 30, Mrvan highlighted the role of labor unions and educational initiatives: "Northwest Indiana is a community of people who work hard to get ahead, and I am grateful that this conversation can focus on the invaluable contributions from labor unions and their apprenticeship programs, nonprofits with dedicated job training resources, and technical education".

Frank J. Mrvan has served as U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 1st District since 2021 after succeeding Pete Visclosky. Before joining Congress, he was part of the North Township Board of Trustees from 2005 through 2021. Born in Hammond in 1969, Mrvan currently resides in Highland and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University earned in 1992.
