Frank J. Mrvan highlights support for law enforcement and education initiatives

Rep. Frank J. Mrvan, who represents Indiana’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to discuss his advocacy for law enforcement funding, youth engagement in civic life, and educational opportunities in Northwest Indiana.

On September 15, 2025, Mrvan posted: "As a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science, I am grateful for the opportunity to advocate for and include these federal funding requests for Northwest Indiana’s brave members of law enforcement. We must continue to do all we can to".

The following day, September 16, he highlighted his engagement with local students: "Spoke on the House floor yesterday to highlight my recent meeting with the More Action for Students organization in Northwest Indiana. It’s clear that these young women and men are not waiting for the future to arrive. They are shaping it and laboring to build a society that is https://t.co/KxicQFxaio".

On September 17, Mrvan reiterated his commitment to education: "I will continue advocating for life-long educational opportunities that improve literacy rates to empower individuals in Northwest Indiana and across the country to thrive in the workforce and succeed in our economy. https://t.co/bGcuB9r6Om".

Frank J. Mrvan began serving as U.S. Representative for Indiana's 1st District in 2021 after succeeding Pete Visclosky. Before joining Congress, he served on the North Township Board of Trustees from 2005 until his congressional election.[source] Born in Hammond, Indiana in 1969 and currently residing in Highland at age 54,[source] Mrvan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University.[source]
