U.S. Representative Frank J. Mrvan, who serves Indiana’s 1st district, has reiterated his commitment to securing affordable health care and restoring tax credits for working families and small business owners in a series of posts on November 13, 2025.

In one post, Mrvan stated, "As we move forward, the fight for access to affordable health care continues, and I remain committed to working with my colleagues to find a bipartisan agreement that restores the health care tax credits as soon as possible." (November 13, 2025).

He also expressed dissatisfaction with recent legislative negotiations. In another message from the same day, he wrote, "Finally, I remain deeply disappointed that the Republican Majority refused to extend the health care tax credits as part of this negotiation that so many small business owners and working families rely on, even as they allow the Trump Administration to direct $40 billion in" (November 13, 2025).

Addressing broader economic concerns facing Americans, Mrvan posted later in the day: "Everyday Americans cost of living are out of control. This is worth fighting for. Making sure that you can afford everyday life, and more important having access to health care is worth fighting for." (November 13, 2025).

Frank J. Mrvan has represented Indiana’s 1st congressional district since replacing Pete Visclosky in 2021. Before joining Congress, he served on the North Township Board of Trustees from 2005 until his election to federal office. Born in Hammond in 1969 and currently residing in Highland at age 54, Mrvan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in 1992.
