Shooting woes hurt Men's Basketball at Ferris State

The Purdue Northwest men's basketball team falls on the road in GLIAC play at Ferris State on Thursday night, 75-55

The Basics

•    Records: Purdue Northwest (9-8,2-4), Ferris State (12-5,3-3)

•    Location: Big Rapids, Mich.

•    Attendance: 1,278

Inside The Numbers

•    Senior Mikell Cooper (Milwaukee, Wis./Bradley Tech) led the Pride with 15 points and dished out five assists.

•    Junior Kai Steinman (Champaign, Ill./Ben Davis) added 12 points off the bench and handed out four assists.

•    As a team, the Pride ended the game shooting 18-of-51(35.3%) from the floor and went 11-of-28 (39.3%) from behind the arc.

•    Solomon Oraegbu led Ferris State with a game-best 23 points and recorded nine rebounds.

•    As a team, the Bulldogs finished the contest going 25-of-60 (41.7%) from the field and shot 4-of-15 (26.7%) from three-point line.

The Breakdown

•    Ferris State played strong in the first half with the Pride holding their and saw the Bulldogs hold a 34-27 lead heading into halftime.

•    The Bulldogs started off fast in the second half and did not look back ending the game with a double-digit victory, 75-55.

•    The Pride led in bench points, 20-14.

•    The Pride continue their road trip when they take on Lake Superior State in GLIAC action on Saturday, January 14. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. central time.
