Frank J. Mrvan highlights economic visits and community engagement across Northwest Indiana

Rep. Frank J. Mrvan, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 1st district, has recently shared updates on his official social media account about local economic engagement, infrastructure improvements, and community outreach in Northwest Indiana.

On August 11, 2025, Mrvan expressed appreciation for a local business visit: "Grateful for the recent invitation to tour the Konrady Plastics facility in Portage and meet employees on the job. Thank you for your contributions to the strength of our economy."

The following day, August 12, he highlighted a regional infrastructure event: "From our recent water infrastructure ribbon cutting in Portage, I look forward to building on this partnership to deliver results that improve the quality of life and create more economic activity in communities across Northwest Indiana."

On August 13, Mrvan invited constituents to participate in an upcoming public forum: "I invite residents to attend one of my Community Conversations on August 27, 2025, where I look forward to providing an update on the 119th Congress & hearing directly from constituents about the issues that matter most. This opportunity brings our community together to discuss"

Frank J. Mrvan has represented Indiana's 1st congressional district since succeeding Pete Visclosky in 2021. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served as North Township Trustee from 2005 until his election at the federal level. Born in Hammond in 1969 and currently residing in Highland at age 54, Mrvan is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree obtained in 1992.
