Rep. Frank J. Mrvan, U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 1st district since 2021, has recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing community celebrations, local economic initiatives, and cultural observances.

On September 22, 2025, Mrvan extended holiday greetings to his constituents: "Wishing everyone celebrating #RoshHashanah in Northwest Indiana a sweet and happy new year."

The following day, on September 23, he commented on developments affecting local industry: "This reckless action undermines efforts to establish a sustainable aviation fuel blending hub in East Chicago, a project that would reduce harmful emissions, strengthen domestic manufacturing, and open new markets for American workers and businesses."

Continuing his outreach on September 24 during National Hispanic Heritage Month, Mrvan encouraged public engagement with cultural resources: "As we continue in #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth, I encourage all individuals to explore the wonderful resources available below that pay tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society."

Frank J. Mrvan succeeded Pete Visclosky as representative for Indiana’s 1st congressional district in 2021 after previously serving as North Township Trustee from 2005 to 2021. Born in Hammond in 1969 and currently residing in Highland, Mrvan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University.
