The following day, as a potential government shutdown loomed, Mrvan addressed the political situation in Washington D.C., posting on September 30: "With a government shutdown just 12 hours away, the majority is in control of the House, the Senate, and the White House. On October 1, he urged congressional leadership to act promptly: "The American people deserve stability and certainty, and a commitment from public servants to find bipartisan solutions. I encourage Speaker Johnson to call the House back into session so we can complete this necessary work."
