Knox's Busse signs with Sprint Football
On March 22nd Coach Novak signed Knox Community High School's Trevor Busse for the inaugural 2022 Sprint Football recruiting class.
Busse, a Linebacker, comes to CCSJ with several impressive accolades including 2020 HNAC Honorable Mention All-Conference team, 2020 WKVI All-Kankakee Valley Area team, 2021 HNAC 1st Team All-Conference, 2021 WKVI All-Kankakee Valley Area team, 2021 Academic All-State, and a WHME 46 Student-Athlete of the Week.
As an incoming Freshman, Busse plans to major in Kinesiology with aspirations of going into physical therapy. Busse said "I chose CCSJ because of the family atmosphere within their athletic and academic programs, they have a vision of growth and success. I am excited to be part of the 1st Sprint Football team for CCSJ."
The Crimson Wave Sprint Football team will be competing in their inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 in the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL). Sprint football has the same rules as standard American football except players must maintain a weight limit of 178 pounds. The Midwest Sprint Football League will be playing its inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 with 6 member schools competing, with Calumet College being one of the founding members.
