Cortes signs with Crimson Wave Sprint Football
Jose Cortes of Bishop McNamara High School signed with Crimson Wave Sprint Football for the upcoming season.
Cortes, an Offensive Lineman, also played basketball and ran track at Bishop McNamara. As an incoming Freshman, Cortes plans to major in Business Management and chose CCSJ because "it was like a family there and all the teachers care" and is looking forward to getting "an education, playing sports, and a connection with teachers."
The Crimson Wave Sprint Football team will compete in their inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 in the Midwest Sprint Football League (MSFL). Sprint football has the same rules as standard American football except players must maintain a weight limit of 178 pounds. The Midwest Sprint Football League will be playing its inaugural season in the Fall of 2022 with 6 member schools competing, with Calumet College being one of the founding members.
