Women’s Soccer drops Home match against Crusaders

The Calumet College Crimson Wave Women's Soccer team hosted Great Lakes Christian College on Saturday for the team's first home game of the season. The Crusaders got ahead of the Wave early, scoring 2 goals in the first 20 minutes of the match and again in the final minutes of the second half. Despite the weather being particularly hot and the Crimson Wave having a small bench, CCSJ's defense was tight only allowing 7 shots by GLCC all 90 minutes. Brenna Willer, CCSJ's Goalkeeper, had 3 saves on the day. The Wave's offense worked hard to secure their first goal of the season, taking 5 shots, but couldn't quite get the timing right with the only shot on goal taken by Elisama Gurrola.

What's Next?

The Crimson Wave has a week-long break until their first CCAC match of the season at Trinity Christian on Saturday, September 10th.
