New Volunteer Training scheduled
Only one session is required. Volunteers guide and lend assistance during the lessons as riders learn new skills and perform activities on horseback. Volunteers must be 13 years or older. Horse experience is not required; we will train you. One class is approximately a 1.5-hour commitment each week. Lessons are held Mondays through Saturdays. If you are retired, semi-retired with a little extra time during the day, a student with some flexibility in your schedule, or you just want to get your “horsey-fix,” we’d love to introduce you to your new favorite activity! Our Winter Session will run January 30 to March 25.
If you’d rather volunteer to feed our four-legged equine partners, we will connect you with our feeding coordinator. Join the crew for a morning or afternoon feeding shift. Feeders must be at least 16 years old and commit to one shift per week.
Reins of Life is located at 9375 W. 300 N., Michigan City. To sign up or for more information, contact our volunteer coordinator at 219-874-7519 x 202. Our volunteers help make incredible things happen!
