Ivy Tech Community College Named 2022 Best Employer for Women by Forbes for Second Year in a Row
Ivy Tech Community College was named in the annual Top 100 ranking of America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes for the second year in a row.
Along with market research company Statista, Forbes’ rankings identify the companies liked most by female workers and included representation at the executive and board levels, as well as initiatives to improve gender equity and recent or unresolved allegations regarding discrimination or misconduct.
“We are very proud of this recognition as a top employer for women,” Dr. Sue Ellspermann, Ivy Tech President said.
The College has been focused on building a culture that embraces innovation and equity.
We have aligned our policies and procedures to support all employees, which has resulted in increased employee engagement and has allowed us to attract and retain world class talent.”
Ivy Tech was one of 35 educational institutions listed in the category and one of two that identified as a community college.
Ivy Tech females make up 59 percent of nearly 6,431 employees, with 63 percent as full-time, 54 percent as part-time, and 58 percent identified as leadership.
The majority (60 percent) of faculty are females, and 47 percent of the College’s State Board of Trustees are also women.
