Men’s Bowling takes the W in the season opener Tweet
Calumet College Men's Bowling opened their season at the Hammer Golden Eagle Invite Saturday and Sunday with the results being favorable to the Wave. After a slow start during Game 1, CCSJ was in 5th place and Coach Kubacki changed the lineup and the results showed. Joseph Ocello and Ian Dobran led the team throughout the tournament, but Nick Dudeck's and Patrick McCletchie's performance off the bench helped propel the Wave forward in the standings.
The Crimson Wave Varsity team finished the day with a 1st place finish with a team total of 5187, 168 pins ahead of 2nd place Marian University (WI.). There were three Crimson Waves that finished in the Top 10 with their individual scores, but notably, Ocello placed 1st with a total of 1080 and 216 tournament average. Ian Dobran finished the weekend in 4th with a 1066 total and 213.6 average and Dylan Dobran finished 8th with a 1038 total and 207.6 average. Ocello and Ian Dobran made the All-Tournament Team.
The Crimson Wave JV team finished in 6th place with a team total of 4233. Joey Featherstone led the way finishing 38th with a 938 total and 188.4 average.
